Leave long tail to sew onto cupcake bottom (see photo M & Assembly Instructions).
Assembly
1. Sew the cupcake liner sides together using a whip stitch (top and bottom of the shorter side).
2. Attach the liner on top of the cupcake liner bottom and sew together (each raised stitch and beveled stitch of the sides will match evenly with the 40 stitches of the bottom liner) (see photos A-F).
3. Sew ears on either side of the icing starting on round 3 or 4 (see photo G).
4. Embroider the nose and mouth onto the muzzle. To make a soft curved smile, leave the stitch loose and gently pull it down (tip: use fabric glue to hold it in place) (see photo H).
5. Sew the muzzle in between the ears (below row 7) (alternatively you can use fabric glue) (see photo K).
6. Wedge one eye through the middle of the heart piece and attach it to the icing on one side of the muzzle (between rounds 9 and 10). Attach the other eye on the other side of the muzzle (see photos I-K).
7. Finish face details by adding two black whiskers in either side of the face. Sew on a flushed cheek with pink embroidery floss under the corner of the eye without the heart (alternatively you can use doll make-up/paint) (see photo K).
8. Sew icing onto the cupcake (see photo L).
9. Sew or glue the strawberry onto the top middle of the icing (see photo M).
10. Place the cupcake into the cupcake liner and you're all finished!
Now you have your very own sweet cupcake.
I can’t wait to see what flavor your cat cupcake will be! What other cupcakes would you like to see? Let me know your ideas in the comments below!
